I am currently in my second year in the Human Factors psychology program.  i received my Bachelor's of Science Degree from North Georgia College and State University with a major in psychology and a minor in history in 2005.

Some of my research interests are the effects of time pressure on decision making, the use of heuristics versus normative decision making, cultural decision making, training military personnel and gerontology issues with computer displays.

I am part of  Dr. James P. Bliss' REACTs Lab (Research Environment for Alarms and Complex Task Simulation)  and also part of Dr. Ivan Ash's cognitive lab.  Areas of interests for the labs include trust/mistrust of alarms, working memory, hindsight bias and problem solving.

I work at the Joint Forces Command (JFCOM) as an Army Research Institute (ARI) research fellow with Dr. Brooke Schaab.  The work I am a part of includes communication and culture (multi-national forces) and communication between different agencies (military and/or civilian).  Other areas of research include training and situation awareness.

Besides working and studying, I am a part of the student chapter of Old Dominion University's Human Factors and Ergonomics Society where we do activities to promote human factors around the campus and the community.
